C2G is proud to be selected as part of the successful team providing launch support services to the 576th Flight Test Squadron (FTS) at Vandenberg Air Force Base. The mission of the 576th FTS is to conduct the Air Force Space Command’s Force Development Evaluation program for America’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) force, and to serve as the command’s experts for missile systems capability.
The 576th FLTS conducts ground and flight tests to collect, analyze, and report performance, accuracy, and reliability data for the Joint Staff, US Strategic Command, Air Staff, and Air Force Space Command. In this role, the 576th FLTS also identifies missile system requirements, demonstrates current and future war fighting capabilities, and validates missile system improvements and upgrades.
In support of the strategic mission of the 576th FLTS, C2G will provide all necessary management, planning, programming, administration, materials and personnel that are to provide maintenance and refurbishment of launch facilities, corrosion control services, management and control of squadron’s vehicles, equipment and inventory, environmental management, program management services and training management. The phase-in period for the five-year performance based contract commenced on 1 September 2006, with production operations beginning 1 October 2006. Operations under the new five year contract commenced 1 December 2012.
